Comedian DKB has commended businessman Richard Nii Armah Quaye for using his success to support young people in the Ga-Dangme community.
DKB, whose full name is Derick Kobina Bonney, spoke after attending the launch of the RNAQ Ga-Dangme Youth Scholarship Fund, established by Richard Nii Armah Quaye, president of RNAQ Holdings.
The initiative is intended to support brilliant Ga-Dangme students and help improve their future prospects.
“Today, everybody knows that, yes, there’s a sponsorship scheme to support Ghana with brilliant students. This is beautiful,” DKB said.
He also praised Richard Nii Armah Quaye for directing some of his business success towards members of his own community.
“When you make some money, when you make some great strides, you turn back to your people to elevate them. And that is what Richard Nii Armah Quaye, RNAQ, has done,” DKB said in an Instagram post.
DKB further acknowledged the involvement of the Ga Mantse in the scholarship initiative, expressing hope that it would help more people from the Ga-Dangme community achieve success in a range of fields.
“So very soon, you’re going to hear a rocket scientist called Nii Atuquaye,” he said.
“I can’t wait to see my Ga-Dangme people elevate now,” DKB added.
