A land agent at Nsawam Aduakrom, Nicholas Cheetham has allegedly been killed by his wife, Abigail, for reportedly impregnating another woman.
Nicholas is said to have pleaded with Abigail for forgiveness and compensated her with a plot of land and an undisclosed sum of money when she discovered the extramarital affair.
Reports say that despite the compensation, she conspired with her son, Prince, one of the two children she brought into the marriage, to carry out the crime.
Abigail, Prince, and his friend, who is currently at large, allegedly, also attempted to kill Richmond, Nicholas’s 15-year-old son from a previous relationship.
Richmond is said to have heard the noise, peeked through a window, and saw them carrying his father’s body out for disposal.
They reportedly broke the boy’s neck and hit his head with a cement block, but he survived, ran to neighbours for help, and informed them of the incident before succumbing to his injuries.
After years of supporting Abigail’s eldest son through school, Nicholas opened a printing press shop for him. Together, Nicholas and Abigail also had a 4-year-old child.
