Italian-Ghanaian midfielder Joshua Tenkorang continued his impressive start to the season by scoring shortly after coming off the bench as Ravenna beat Campobasso FC 3-1 in Serie C Group B.
Tenkorang, introduced in the 66th minute, needed just three minutes to make his mark, finding the net to put Ravenna firmly in control of the contest.
The victory keeps Ravenna second in the standings with 17 points from nine matches, as they maintain their push near the top of the table.
Ravenna took the lead in the 41st minute when Daniele Casiraghi converted a penalty following a VAR review. The hosts then doubled their advantage just before half-time, with Matteo Maggio heading home Vinicius’ cross to give them a commanding 2-0 lead at the break.
Campobasso struggled to find a way back into the match after the interval, and Tenkorang’s introduction added further threat to Ravenna’s attack.
The midfielder made an immediate impact, scoring in the 69th minute to extend the lead to three goals and put the result beyond the visitors’ reach.
Matteo Stoppa pulled one back for Campobasso in the 88th minute, but Ravenna comfortably saw out the closing stages to secure all three points.
Tenkorang’s latest goal takes his tally to three in nine league appearances this season, highlighting his growing contribution to Ravenna’s attacking play.
His performance also earned recognition from supporters, who voted him their player of the match with 43 per cent of the vote.
The midfielder will now be looking to maintain his momentum when Ravenna return to Serie C action against Spezia on 18 October.
With his ability to make an impact from the bench and his growing goal contribution, Tenkorang is emerging as an important figure in Ravenna’s campaign.
