The Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) has requested financial and operational records from a firm linked to Manhyia South Member of Parliament, Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah, as part of an ongoing investigation.
In a letter dated October 30 and signed by its Acting Executive Director, Raymond Archer, EOCO requested audited financial statements, evidence of tax payments, bank account details, and statements covering the period between 2017 and 2025.
The agency also wants the firm’s operating permits and renewals issued by the relevant Assembly, as well as a list of its employees, if any.
EOCO has directed that the requested documents be submitted by November 6, 2026, to assist its investigations.
The request forms part of ongoing investigations into allegations of criminal conspiracy, causing financial loss to SIC Savings and Loans, money laundering, and tax-related offences.
It follows an earlier attempt by EOCO officers to arrest Mr. Baffour Awuah at the High Court complex in September.
In a statement issued on September 23, the agency confirmed that its officers attempted to arrest the MP over his failure to honour invitations extended to him in February 2026 to assist with an investigation.
EOCO said the arrest was not completed after officers assessed that proceeding further could endanger public safety amid tensions at the scene.
